Testimonial 6
I got the LifeStraw Go! It really gives you that comfort that you are really drinking clean and safe water. Even with the water everywhere, you never can be too sure you know! You can’t say water is clean because its white! There are other particles you can’t really see with your naked eyes! I witnessed a testing on the product. It was really amazing! Its safe, its personal, its handy and you can take it anywhere you choose! I am very convinced to say that you can’t be sure of your drinking water, except you are using LifeStraw!
LifeStraw
According to UNICEF Nigeria, Nigeria has made substantial progress in developing policies and strategies for water supply and sanitation service delivery, but faces major challenges in translating these into action.
About 70 million people, out of a population of 171 million, lacked access to safe drinking water. Every year, an estimated 124,000 children under the age of 5 die because of diarrhea, mainly due to unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene. Lack of adequate water and sanitation are also major causes of other diseases, including respiratory infection and under-nutrition.
With the rising conflict, UNICEF estimates that nearly 1.4 million children are at imminent risk of death this year. In each of the four famine countries ( includes Nigeria) and across the sub-regions children will succumb to disease – cholera and measles –which induces severe diarrhoea and dehydration. Targeted and immediate solutions to these issues are required.

LifeStraw Family 1.0

Features
- Can be positioned to collect rainwater as a water source
- Filters up to or 4,750 gallons (18,000 liters) of water to 0.02 microns
- Requires no power, batteries, or running water supply
- Flow-rate of 9-12 liters/hour

- All raw materials are US FDA compliant or equivalent

How it Works
- The feed water bucket (2 liter capacity) is filled with water
- The 80-micron textile pre-filter (inside the feed water bucket) removes coarser particles and is easy to clean
- Water passes through the blue PVC hose and gravity exerts pressure on the filter cartridge to reach a high flow rate
- Ultra filtration occurs in the hollow fiber membrane cartridge – a pore size 0.02 microns retains bacteria, viruses, parasites and fine dirt particles
- The blue tap is turned to release purified water
- Backwash the membrane by squeezing the red bulb 3 times with both taps closed, then release the dirty water from the red tap
