People do have a voice and that voice needs to be heard. We have to push for the Precautionary principle to be implemented at all times. Environmental degradation is not the only way to a prosperous economy. If we do our work well, we will find out that we are generating much more energy than we actually need – A lot of waste in the system.
Degraded land will produce contaminated food and contaminated food will bring about ill health which in the long run will lead to poorer economies as wealth generated will be used to take care of an ailing population.
