Rotary Club of Brampton Fall Cleanup

Rotary Club of Brampton Fall Cleanup

Rotary Club of Brampton Fall Cleanup took place on October 23, 2021, at their adopted park — Conservation Drive Park in Brampton from 4-6 pm. The Environment Committee of the Club organized the event, and everyone was welcome to join them in keeping the Brampton community clean and green. The Fall cleanup is one of the scheduled environmental stewardship activities being done at the park by the Club.

It was a memorable event. The Club members were able to perform their environmental duty and commune with the residents they serve. Many lovely people from the community came by to the Rotary stand as there were snacks and drinks available for residents who came by. Most notably, a songwriter, Joe, who chose to be anonymous, sang for Rotary club members and residents and gave up the rights to the song to Obie Agusiegbe, which she used part of the song as the soundtrack to the cleanup video included in this article. It was an extraordinary moment for those of them that heard him sing his song. So, anyone interested in singing this song or making it their own, get in touch with Obie.

A shout-out to the event sponsors: Dawatekhas Restaurant BBQ provided free meal vouchers, and Mansoor Mirza Realtor gave out Tim Horton cards. Special thanks go to Obie Agusiegbe, Farhan Kever, and Mansoor Mirza for organizing the event on behalf of the Environment Committee for the Rotary Club of Brampton.

Protection of the environment is our moral duty. The level of care we provide to the environment is directly proportional to how well the environment can meet our needs — in line with the adage that says, “We reap what we sow.”
